















RESULTS OF THE 4th ADVANCED ARCHITECTURE CONTEST
"CITY-SENSE: Shaping our environment with real-time data"
Organized by The Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia and HP.
275 proposals from 98 countries were evaluated through the internet from October to December by the following jury members of the 4th ADVANCED ARCHITECTURE CONTEST:

Juan Herreros, Architect. School of Architecture Madrid (Spain).
J.M. Lin, Architect. The Observer Design Group. (Taipei, Taiwan).
Marta Male-Alemany, Architect. Acting Director IAAC.
Areti Markopoulou, Architect. IaaC Master Program Director
Josep Mias, MIAS Architectes. (Spain).
Willy Muller, Architect. Director Barcelona Regional.
Michel Rojkind, Architect, Principal Rojkind Architects (Mexico).
Nader Tehrani, Director School of Architecture MIT (Boston, USA).
Each juror has selected a first, second, and third prize, and honourable mentions in some cases. The jury voted on a total of 17 proposals.
The jury has decided to award the following contestants:
The first prize has been awarded to the project "CITYDATASENSING" designed by Castillo
Navarro Francisco (Spain)
The second prize is for the project "THE CYBORG LANDSCAPE", designed by Andres Martin-Pozuelo David, Sara Fernandez Almendariz and Laura Sempere Pomares (Spain)
The third prize is for the project "RCNHA 2030+" by Peter Malaga and Martin Lukac (Slovakia)
The jury has agreed to give 7 honourable mentions to the following proposals:

The jury would like to thank the effort carried out by all contestants, and encourages the development of ideas which transform cities into more efficient and stimulating environments for the human life.
1st Prize: "CITYDATASENSING" designed by Castillo Navarro Francisco (Spain)
2nd Prize: "THE CYBORG LANDSCAPE", designed by Andres Martin-Pozuelo David, Sara Fernandez Almendariz and Laura Sempere Pomares (Spain)
3rd Prize: "RCNHA 2030+" by Malaga Peter and Martin Lukac (Slovakia)
People's Choice Award:
In parallel to the 4th Advanced Architecture Contest, the Institute for advanced architecture of Catalonia (IaaC) and Hewlett-Packard were also running a Peoples Choice Award.
All participants interested in competing for this extra prize submitted one (1) image using the HP ePrint & Share Web service.
Submissions were displayed online to be viewed and voted on by the public.
Finally the most popular image and the winner of the HP Designjet T790 ePrinter is the project IMPROVING HABITAT (ID: YZA2MD) by Javier Gonzales (Spain) which received 4494 votes (likes) from the public.
